If you accidentally deposited funds to KAST using a blockchain we don’t support, your deposit won’t automatically arrive in your account. In some cases, recovery may be possible. This article explains the recovery process, terms and conditions, and how to avoid this issue in the future.

What Happens If I Deposit on an Unsupported Network?

When you send funds over a blockchain that KAST doesn’t support, the transaction won’t reach your account. Instead, the funds remain stuck at the network level. Our system can’t automatically detect or credit deposits from unsupported blockchains.

In some cases, our team may be able to attempt a manual recovery, but this isn’t guaranteed and depends on technical feasibility.

Important: Depositing on an unsupported network can put your funds at risk. Always double-check the supported network list in your KAST app before sending.

How Do I Request Asset Recovery on KAST?

If you’ve sent funds through an unsupported blockchain, here’s what to do:

  1. Gather transaction details
    • Find the transaction hash (TxID) from your wallet or blockchain explorer.
    • Note the amount, token type, sending address, and the network used.
  2. Contact KAST Concierge
    • Reach out to our Concierge team through the available channels listed on the app.
    • Provide your TxID, date, amount, and network.
  3. Wait for assessment
    • Our team will check if recovery is technically possible.
    • If recovery is possible, we’ll guide you through next steps.
    • Applicable fees and estimated timelines will be shared before proceeding.

What Are the Terms and Conditions for Asset Recovery on KAST?

  • No guarantee: Recovery may not be possible depending on the network and transaction type.
  • Fees may apply: Asset recovery requires additional resources and may incur fees. These are communicated before we begin.
  • Expect processing time: If eligible, recovery usually takes 1–2 weeks, but complex cases can take longer.
  • Subject to compliance approval: KAST reserves the right to decline recovery requests if risks or compliance concerns are identified.
  • Funds returned to source: If recovery is successful, assets are typically sent back to the original sending wallet, not credited directly to your KAST account.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the recovery fee get deducted from my funds?

Yes, any applicable recovery fee is taken out of the assets being returned. You’ll always be informed of the fee before the process begins.

Is there a maximum amount eligible for recovery?

There’s no fixed cap, but larger transactions may require additional compliance checks. This can extend the processing time.

Can I request recovery for multiple transactions at once?

Yes, but each transaction must be reviewed individually. Be sure to provide complete details for every TxID you want assessed.

What happens if the sending wallet is no longer accessible?

Recovered funds are always sent back to the original sending wallet. If you’ve lost access, you’ll need to regain control of that wallet to use the funds.

What if I provided the wrong token type instead of the wrong network?

KAST only supports deposits in USDT and USDC. If you send an unsupported token, it may be permanently lost or take 1–2 weeks to recover, and recovery fees will apply.
