There are several reasons why your payment may not go through at a card machine:

  • Wrong card machine option selected: KAST Cards are processed through the Visa credit network, so you should select Credit when prompted. Choosing Debit or Checking/Savings may cause the transaction to fail.
  • Insufficient funds: Make sure your account has enough balance to cover the transaction.
  • Network or connection issues: The merchant’s card machine may not be connected or may have temporary technical problems.
  • Card not activated or frozen: Ensure your card is active and not frozen in the KAST app.

How Do I Make Sure My Payment Goes Through?

Follow these steps if your card declines:

  1. Select the CREDIT option when prompted on the card machine.
  2. Check your balance in the KAST app to confirm you have enough funds.
  3. Verify your card status: Open the KAST app, go to Cards and ensure the card is active and not frozen.
