The KAST Referral Program is a way to invite friends to KAST using your personal referral link or referral code. When a friend joins through your link or enters your code and meets the requirements, you can earn cash rewards based on their activity (for example, reaching certain card-spend milestones).

How Does The Referral Code Work?
Your referral code is a short alphanumeric code that your friend can enter to link their account to yours. There are two ways to use it:
During Sign-Up

What Do I Earn From Referrals?
You can earn rewards in two ways when you refer a friend to KAST:
1. Card Spend Milestones
As your referred friend spends on their KAST card, you earn rewards when their total spend reaches the following milestones:

Rewards are cumulative — as your referral hits each milestone, you earn the corresponding amount on top of what you've already received.

You also earn a one-time reward when your referral subscribes to a paid membership:

What Does My Referral Get?
When your referral signs up using your link, they receive 10% off their first membership subscription.

What Happens If a Referral Transaction Is Refunded or Reversed?
If your referral's card transaction is refunded or reversed, any reward earned from that spend may be removed (clawed back). When a clawback is initiated, the amount is deducted from your accounts in the following order of priority:
- Locked Rewards - Rewards in the Locked state within your Rewards balance are deducted first.
- Redeemable Rewards - If your Locked balance is insufficient, Rewards in the Redeemable state are deducted next.
- Main USD Balance - If both your Locked and Redeemable balances are insufficient, the remaining shortfall is deducted from your Main USD Balance, which may result in a negative balance.
If your referral later makes new eligible purchases and crosses the milestone again, you can re-earn the reward.
Frequently Asked Questions
What counts as a successful referral?
A referral is counted when your friend signs up using your link, completes verification, and meets the $100 spend milestone.
Does my friend have to spend $100 in one transaction?
No, the $100 milestone is based on total spend. Your friend can reach it across multiple transactions.
Is there a limit to how many friends I can refer?
No, there is currently no limit on referrals. You can invite as many people as you like under normal referral terms.
How long does my referral have to meet the spend milestones?
Your referral must complete the card-spend milestones within 45 days of completing KYC verification. Spending after the 45-day window will not count toward referral milestone rewards.
Why did I not get $20 at the first milestone?
Card spend milestone rewards may vary depending on your referred friend's country and eligibility. The exact amount is determined automatically based on where they are located.
Why can't I redeem my referral rewards yet?
Referral Cash Rewards are credited to your Rewards balance in real time, but they start out as "Locked" for 14 days before they can be redeemed.
- Once the 14-day period passes, your rewards automatically move to "Redeemable" status.
- You can then redeem them through the standard in-app redemption flow.
I shared my link, but my referral didn't track — what should I do?
Check the following first:
- Did your friend use your exact referral link, or manually add your code in the app after signing up?
- Did they complete identity verification (KYC)?
- Have they reached the $100 spend milestone?
If everything checks out and it still doesn't appear, contact KAST Concierge with their sign-up details and the approximate date.
Can my friend add the referral code after they have already signed up?
Yes. If your friend skipped the referral code step during sign-up, they can still add it later by going to Profile, Account, Referred by, and selecting Add Code. This must be done before the qualifying spend milestone is reached.
Do subscription rewards and card-spend milestone rewards stack?
Yes. If your referred friend purchases a paid membership, you earn the subscription reward in addition to any card-spend milestone rewards already unlocked. These are independent reward streams and do not cancel each other out.
