This article explains what an RFI (Request for Information) is, why you may receive one from KAST, and what you need to do if additional information or documents are requested. RFIs are a normal part of maintaining account information and helping keep your account active and up to date.

What Is an RFI on KAST?

An RFI (Request for Information) is a request for additional information or documents related to your KAST account.

You may receive an RFI if:

  • A document has expired
  • Information on your account needs updating
  • Additional information is needed to keep your account active and functioning normally
  • You're processing a higher-value payment, withdrawal, deposit, or transfer that requires additional review

Receiving an RFI does not necessarily mean there is a problem with your account. It is often part of routine account maintenance and verification.

Why Did I Receive an RFI?

Information can change over time, and some documents have expiration dates.

KAST may ask you to update information if:

  • Your identity document has expired
  • Your address information needs refreshing
  • Additional information is required to verify account activity
  • Previously submitted documents are no longer current
  • Additional information is needed about a specific transaction, its purpose, or the source or destination of funds

Even if you completed verification when you signed up, you may occasionally be asked to provide updated information.

What Does an RFI Look Like in KAST?

If KAST needs additional information, you'll typically receive:

  • An in-app notification
  • A prompt in your account dashboard
  • Email reminders directing you back to the KAST app

  • Which documents are accepted

  • Account access may be limited until the request is completed
  • Additional reminders will be sent

Completing the request as soon as possible helps avoid interruptions.

Is It Safe to Upload Documents to KAST?

KAST handles submitted documents securely and limits access to authorized personnel who need the information to process your request.

To help protect yourself from scams:

  • Always complete RFI requests inside the KAST app
  • Be cautious of unsolicited messages requesting documents
  • Avoid uploading documents through unofficial links

If you're unsure whether a request is legitimate, check your notifications inside the KAST app or contact KAST Concierge.
