This article explains why KAST may ask you to provide Proof of Address (PoA) or Source of Funds (SoF) documents, when these requests occur, what documents are accepted, and how to complete the review as quickly as possible.

Why Is KAST Asking Me for Proof of Address or Source of Funds?

Requesting additional documents is a standard part of operating a regulated financial platform. It does not necessarily mean there's a problem with your account.

Depending on your account, country of residence, or account activity, KAST may ask you to provide Proof of Address (PoA), Source of Funds (SoF), or both.

Common situations include:

  • During identity verification (KYC) or when upgrading your verification level.
  • When previously submitted verification documents need to be refreshed or have expired.
  • When your residential address needs to be confirmed or revalidated.
  • During routine compliance reviews.
  • When your account activity requires additional verification.
  • After reaching certain transaction or cumulative transfer thresholds.
  • During reviews of specific deposits, transfers, or payouts.
  • When applying for certain regulated products or services that require enhanced verification.

We'll always notify you in the KAST app or by email if additional documents are required.

How Do I Submit Proof of Address (PoA)?

  3. Upload the document directly in the KAST app by following the on-screen instructions.

A valid Proof of Address should generally include:

  • Your full legal name

Frequently Asked Questions

Why do I need to provide Proof of Address or Source of Funds?

These documents help KAST comply with global financial regulations and protect the platform against fraud and money laundering. They're requested only when needed based on your account, region, or activity.

Will my account be restricted while my documents are being reviewed?

In most cases, you can continue using your KAST account while your documents are under review. If any temporary restrictions are required, we'll let you know in the app or by email.

How long does the review take?

If you submit valid documents the first time, reviews are typically completed within one business day. Reviews may take longer if additional information or replacement documents are required.

What happens if my documents are rejected?

We'll explain why your document couldn't be accepted and tell you what needs to be corrected. You can then upload a new document to continue the review.

Can I submit digital documents?

Yes. PDFs, electronic statements, and other digital documents are generally accepted if they clearly display all required information and meet the document requirements. Where applicable, they must also be dated within the last 90 days.

Will KAST always ask for both Proof of Address and Source of Funds?

No. Depending on the purpose of the review, KAST may ask for only Proof of Address, only Source of Funds, or both. We'll clearly specify which documents are required when we contact you.
