Why I’m not able to send/receive money with SWIFT?

This article explains why you may not be able to send money with SWIFT, or why the SWIFT option is no longer visible in your KAST app. You’ll also find the best alternatives you can use until SWIFT is available again.

What’s happening?

SWIFT is temporarily unavailable due to an ongoing service disruption with our banking/payment partners.

As a result:

  • You may not see USD via SWIFT in the app
  • A SWIFT transfer may fail or be blocked
  • A SWIFT transfer may be delayed

Why don’t I see SWIFT in my app anymore?

The SWIFT option may disappear when SWIFT transfers are temporarily paused.

If you previously used SWIFT and it’s now missing, it does not mean your account is closed. It means the SWIFT payout rail is currently unavailable.

What can I do instead (recommended options)

The best alternative depends on what you’re trying to do:

Option 1: Use Local Payouts (if available for your country)

If Local Payouts are available for your destination country/corridor, this is the best alternative:

  • Faster than international transfers
  • Delivered in local currency through local banking rails
  • Fees and delivery estimates are shown in-app before you confirm

How Do I Send a Payout Using KAST Pay?

To send money to a bank account:

1. Open your KAST app and head to the Pay tab.
2. Choose Fast Payout (Local Payout)
  3. Select Local currency (for Fast Payout).

4. Enter the amount

5. Select the recipient and enter bank details.
6. Review the transfer details, confirm, and your payout is on its way.

Option 2: Send cryptocurrency on-chain

If you need to move funds quickly and the recipient can accept crypto:

  • Send to another wallet address (on-chain transfer)
  • Or send to another KAST user (if applicable)

Important: Only send crypto on the correct network (chain). Sending to the wrong network can result in lost funds.

Option 3: Use another supported payout currency/route (where available)

Depending on the recipient and destination, you may be able to send using another supported local payout route (shown in your Pay options).

What if I need to send money to a country that’s not available in Local Payouts?

If the destination bank/country is not supported via Local Payouts and SWIFT is unavailable, there may be no supported bank payout option for that destination at this time.

In that case, the practical options are:

  • Use crypto (if recipient can accept)
  • Wait until SWIFT is re-enabled

When will SWIFT be available again?

We don’t have a confirmed timeline yet. We’ll update this article as soon as SWIFT is available again.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is my money safe while SWIFT is unavailable?

Yes. The SWIFT pause does not affect your KAST account balance. If a previous SWIFT attempt fails or is returned, the funds should be credited back once the reversal is complete.

Do I need to update my app to see SWIFT again?

Not usually. Once SWIFT is restored, the available payout options should appear in the KAST app automatically. Make sure you’re using the latest app version for the best experience.

Can I cancel a SWIFT transfer that is already processing?

Usually, no. Once a transfer has been submitted for processing, it may not be possible to cancel or recall it. If you entered incorrect details or need help with a specific transfer, contact KAST Concierge as soon as possible.

Will fees apply if my SWIFT transfer is returned?

KAST does not control any fees charged by intermediary or receiving banks. If your transfer is returned, the final credited amount may depend on the banks or payment partners involved.

What details should I prepare before contacting KAST Concierge?

Please prepare the transfer amount and currency, date and time of the attempt, recipient country and bank name, the status shown in the app, and any reference number or screenshot.
