What Is End of Summer Sale?
End of Summer Sale is a limited-time KAST Card cashback campaign for eligible users. From August 13 to September 30, 2026, you can earn 5% cashback on eligible Shopping, Dining, and Travel purchases made with your KAST Card, up to $100 cashback per person.
There’s no promo code or manual claim required. Eligible cashback will be credited after the campaign ends once qualifying transactions have been verified.
How Do I Earn 5% Cashback?
To earn cashback during End of Summer Sale:
- Use your KAST Card between August 13 and September 30, 2026.
- Make an eligible Shopping, Dining, or Travel purchase.
- Make sure the transaction is completed and isn’t refunded, reversed, canceled, disputed, or charged back.
- Keep your KAST account active, verified, and eligible to receive rewards.
Who Can Participate?
End of Summer Sale is available to eligible KAST users who:
- Are at least 18 years old
- Have a valid KAST account and eligible KAST Card
- Have completed identity verification (KYC), where required
- Have been identified by KAST as eligible for the promotion and/or received a communication about the campaign
The offer is personal and can’t be transferred to another user.
What Purchases Are Eligible?
You can earn 5% cashback on eligible purchases across three categories:
- Travel — including flights, hotels, transportation, car rentals, travel agencies, and other eligible travel services
- Dining — including restaurants, cafés, bars, fast food, bakeries, caterers, and other eligible dining merchants
- Shopping — including fashion, electronics, beauty, jewelry, home goods, department stores, marketplaces, books, sporting goods, pet stores, and other eligible retail purchases
Good to Know: Cashback eligibility is based on the Merchant Category Code (MCC) used when your transaction is processed. A merchant may be classified differently from how it describes its business, so some purchases may not qualify even if they appear to fall within an eligible category.
Is There a Cashback Cap?
Yes. The maximum cashback reward is $100 per person, regardless of KAST membership tier.
At the 5% rate, the first $2,000 of eligible campaign spend can earn cashback. Once you reach $100 in campaign cashback, additional purchases will not earn more cashback under this promotion. Any lower applicable account or program limit continues to apply.
When Will I Receive My Cashback?
Cashback will be credited to your KAST account after September 30, 2026, once your eligible transactions have been verified.
This means you won’t receive the 5% cashback immediately after each purchase. If the campaign end date hasn’t passed yet, KAST Concierge won’t be able to escalate your cashback request to an agent. Please contact us again after the campaign end date if your cashback still hasn’t been received once campaign rewards have been processed.
What Transactions Don’t Qualify?
Cashback generally won’t apply to:
- Purchases outside the eligible Shopping, Dining, or Travel categories
- Cash withdrawals
- Transfers and cash-like transactions
- Fees
- Refunded, reversed, or canceled transactions
- Disputed transactions or chargebacks
- Fraudulent, suspicious, artificial, or abusive transactions
If a transaction is later found to be ineligible, the related cashback may be withheld, adjusted, or reversed.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I Need to Opt In?
No separate opt-in is required for eligible users unless your campaign communication specifically asks you to opt in. Simply use your KAST Card for eligible purchases during the campaign period.
Do Online Purchases Qualify?
Yes, online purchases can qualify if they’re processed under an eligible Shopping, Dining, or Travel MCC and meet the other campaign requirements.
Can a Merchant Look Eligible but Still Not Qualify?
Yes. Eligibility is based on the MCC received when your transaction is processed. If the merchant is classified under a category that isn’t eligible for the campaign, the purchase may not earn cashback.
KAST doesn’t assign or control merchant MCCs.
Do Rideshare, Taxis, Parking, or Other Travel Purchases Qualify?
Rideshare, taxi, parking, and other travel-related purchases qualify when they’re processed under an eligible Travel MCC and meet the other campaign requirements.
Examples of travel purchases that can qualify include flights, hotels, taxis, rideshare services, trains, buses, car rentals, travel agencies, and other transportation or travel-related merchants. Parking qualifies when the merchant is processed under an eligible Travel MCC.
Eligibility still depends on the MCC used by the merchant when the transaction is processed, so KAST can’t guarantee that every rideshare, taxi, parking, or travel-related purchase will qualify.
Why Didn’t My Purchase Qualify?
Your purchase may not qualify if it was made outside the campaign period, wasn’t processed under an eligible Shopping, Dining, or Travel MCC, or was refunded, reversed, canceled, disputed, charged back, cash-like, or otherwise ineligible.
Why Haven’t I Received My Cashback Yet?
End of Summer Sale cashback is credited after the campaign ends, once eligible transactions have been verified. If the campaign end date hasn’t passed yet, KAST Concierge won’t be able to escalate your cashback request to an agent. Please contact us again after the campaign end date if your cashback still hasn’t been received once campaign rewards have been processed.
Can I Earn 5% Cashback on More Than One Purchase?
Yes. You can earn 5% cashback on multiple eligible Shopping, Dining, and Travel purchases during the campaign period, up to a maximum of $100 cashback per person and subject to the campaign terms.
Does the 5% Cashback Replace My Regular Cashback?
Your cashback during the campaign will be calculated according to the End of Summer Sale promotion and your applicable KAST rewards terms. You won't receive both promotional and regular cashback on the same purchase unless KAST specifically states otherwise.
For example, if an eligible purchase qualifies for 5% cashback under End of Summer Sale, that purchase will earn the promotional 5% cashback instead of your regular cashback rate, unless KAST specifically states that both rewards apply.
What Happens if I Get a Refund After Receiving My Cashback?
If an eligible purchase is later refunded, reversed, or charged back, the cashback earned from that transaction may be adjusted or removed from your Rewards balance.
Where Can I See My End of Summer Sale Cashback?
Once your cashback has been processed after the campaign ends, you'll be able to see it in the Rewards section of your KAST app.
