If you are creating a new account and want to move your funds, reward points, referral points, or cards from your old account, please read the information below.

Can I Transfer Funds, Reward Points, or Cards to a New Account?

Currently, funds, reward points, referral points, and cards are not automatically transferable between accounts. Each account is treated as a separate entity for security and compliance reasons. This means:

  • Funds: Balances in your old account cannot be directly transferred to a new account. You will need to withdraw your funds from the old account and deposit them into the new one.
  • Reward Points & Referral Points: Points earned (including referral and promotional points) are linked to the original account and cannot be moved or merged with a new account.
  • Cards: Any cards issued to your old account cannot be transferred. You will need to request new cards under your new account.

What Should I Do If I Need to Move My Assets?

If you have a specific reason for needing to transfer funds or points (such as account compromise or a verified account issue), please contact our Concierge team. In some exceptional cases, we may be able to assist after verifying your identity and reviewing your situation.

Important Notes

  • Account Merging: We do not currently offer account merging or consolidation services.
  • Rewards Program: Reward points cannot be converted to cash until the TGE, or transferred between accounts.
  • Referrals: Referral connections and points are tied to the account where the referral was made and cannot be moved.

What Should I Know Before Closing My Old Account?

  • You can’t reopen a closed account: Once you close it, you won’t be able to use the same phone number or email to reopen it.
  • Transfer or withdraw all your funds first: Balances left behind can’t be recovered after closure.
  • Use or redeem any accumulated rewards: Points won’t move to your new account and will be forfeited once the old account is closed.
  • Handle your linked cards: Cancel them or request new ones, since cards can’t automatically move to your new account.
  • Download your transaction history: Once your account is closed, you won’t have access to past statements or records.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I transfer my funds to a new KAST account?

No. You’ll need to withdraw your funds from the old account first, then manually deposit them into your new account. KAST currently doesn’t support internal transfers between two separate accounts.

Can I move my reward points to a new account?

Unfortunately, no. Reward points are tied to the account where they were earned and are forfeited once that account is closed. If you’re planning to switch accounts, wait for the TGE first before closing your account.

Can I link my existing card to my new account?

No, cards can’t be automatically moved over to another account. You’ll need to request a new card after setting up your new account.

Can I reopen my old account after closing it?

No. Once you close your old account, it’s permanently deactivated and you can’t reopen it with the same phone number or email address. You’d have to create a brand-new account with different details if you want to use KAST again.

What happens to my transaction history after closing an account?

All transaction history and account data become inaccessible once the account is closed. Before closing your old account, download or save any statements or records you might need for your records or tax purposes.

Will my KAST ID or username transfer to my new account?

No. When you open a new account, you’ll need to choose a new username or ID, because your old one remains tied to the closed account. This helps KAST maintain account security and prevent identity overlap.

Do I need to close my old account to open a new one?

Not necessarily. You can create a new KAST account without closing the old one, but you’ll need to use a different phone number or email address. Keeping the old account open might help you move your funds manually before you shut it down.

Can KAST transfer my profile or verification details to my new account?

No. You’ll need to complete the verification process again when creating a new account, including submitting any necessary documents. This ensures compliance with security and regulatory requirements.

What happens to my linked payment methods after closure?

All linked payment methods, cards, and bank details will be removed from the closed account. You’ll need to re-add them manually to your new account once it’s set up.
