How do I Redeem My Cashback?

To redeem your cashback, go to KAST App → Rewards → Redeem → Redeem now, review the amount and confirm.

Cashback becomes redeemable after a 14-day waiting period, which allows transactions to fully settle and helps protect against fraudulent activity. Once this period ends, your cashback will automatically move from Locked to Redeemable.

Once redeemed, your cashback will be automatically applied to your next eligible card purchase. It cannot be withdrawn to a bank account or external wallet.

If the Redeem option is missing or disabled, please check that:

  • Your cashback isn't still Locked/Frozen.
  • Cashback redemption is available in your region.
  • Your KAST app is updated to the latest version.

If you've completed these steps and still can't redeem, please share the error you're seeing so we can help.

What Happens After I Redeem My Cashback?

After you redeem, your cashback is automatically applied to your next eligible card purchases. No further action is needed.

How Do I Use Redeemed Cashback On Card Purchases?

Redeemed cashback is the first thing used when you make a card purchase. Here's how it works:

  • Purchase is less than redeemed amount: The full purchase is covered by cashback. The remainder stays in your account.
  • Purchase is more than redeemed amount: Cashback covers the first portion; the rest is charged to your card spending account balance.

Example: You redeem $10. Your next purchase is $25 → $10 from cashback, $15 from your card balance.

What Can I Do If I Can't Redeem My Cashback?

If the Redeem button is missing, disabled, or your balance isn't redeemable yet, here are the most common reasons:

  • Your cashback is still locked — There is a 14-day timelock before cashback becomes redeemable.
  • Redemption isn't available in your region — Cashback redemption is limited to users in card-supported countries.
  • Your account is temporarily restricted — In some cases, cashback may be locked during an account review.
  • Your Rewards balance is under review or Frozen — Redemption may be paused while KAST reviews account or rewards activity.
  • Your main account balance is below $0.10 — You need at least $0.10 in your main account balance to use redeemed cashback.

Here's what to try:

  1. Check whether your balance is marked Frozen in the Rewards screen.
  2. Update the KAST app to the latest version.
  3. Wait and try again if your cashback is timelocked.
  4. Make sure your main account balance is at least $0.10.
  5. If the issue continues, contact KAST Concierge for help.

Why is My Redemption Pending Review?

Your redemption may show as pending or unavailable if your Rewards balance is temporarily under review. This can happen when KAST needs to confirm reward eligibility, transaction activity, or account status before rewards can be redeemed.

While a review is in progress:

  • Your Rewards balance may show as Frozen or unavailable for redemption.
  • You may not be able to tap Redeem.
  • KAST Concierge may not be able to remove the review manually, but can help confirm whether the case is already being checked.

If your Rewards balance has been under review for longer than expected, contact KAST Concierge and include a screenshot of your Rewards screen, the date the issue started, and whether the reward came from card cashback, referrals, or a cash bonus task.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I Redeem Cashback Automatically?

No, cashback redemption is manual. Open the KAST app, go to Rewards, and tap Redeem when you're ready.

What Can I Do If I Can't Redeem My Cashback?

If you can't redeem your cashback, make sure your cashback is Unlocked, your Rewards balance isn't Frozen, your app is up to date, and you have at least $0.10 in your main USD Spending Balance. If everything looks correct and you're still unable to redeem your cashback, contact KAST Concierge for assistance.

Can I Withdraw My Cashback to a Bank Account or External Wallet?

No. Cashback can only be used within the KAST app — it cannot be transferred to a bank account or external wallet. Once redeemed, it's applied automatically to your next eligible card purchase.

Does My Cashback Expire?

No, cashback never expires. Redeem it whenever you're ready — it'll be waiting in your Rewards Balance.

Why did My Card Spending Account Balance Drop After a Refund?

When a transaction is refunded, any cashback earned from it may be clawed back. Here's how it works:

  • First, the amount is deducted from your Rewards Balance
  • If your Rewards Balance isn't enough to cover it, the remainder is taken from your card spending account

I Redeemed Cashback, Why didn't My Purchase Get Fully Covered?

Cashback only covers up to the exact amount you redeemed. If your purchase exceeds that:

  • The redeemed cashback covers the first portion
  • The remaining balance is charged to your card spending account

Example: You redeem $10, but spend $30 → $10 from cashback, $20 from your card balance.

Why is There a 14-Day Waiting Period Before I Can Redeem My Cashback?

This is in place to protect you and ensure your rewards are accurate:

  1. Transaction processing: It takes time for all card transactions to fully settle. The 14-day window ensures every eligible transaction is properly processed and reflected in your rewards balance before you redeem.
  2. Fraud protection: The holding period ensures only legitimate, eligible transactions earn cashback — protecting all KAST users from fraudulent activity being rewarded before it's detected.

Once the 14-day period has passed, your cashback will move from Locked to Redeemable and you can tap Redeem in the Rewards section of the app.

Can I Choose How Much Cashback to Redeem, or does it All Redeem at Once?

When you tap Redeem, you will be given an option to choose a partial redemption or the full redemption.

What Happens to My Cashback if I Close My KAST Account?

Cashback cannot be withdrawn from KAST. If you close your account, any unredeemed cashback balance will be forfeited. We recommend redeeming and using all available cashback before initiating an account closure.
