What Are Cashback Rewards On KAST?
This is KAST’s rewards system that gives you value back on your eligible card spend in the form of USD cashback and, for certain membership tiers, KAST Points.
Every time you tap or swipe your KAST card on an eligible purchase, cashback is added to your Rewards balance automatically. Rewards are redeemable after a timelock period.
Once the waiting period ends, tap Redeem in the app. The next time you pay with your card, your cashback is used first before any funds from your USD Virtual Account.
For Premium and Private members, you also earn KAST Points on eligible transactions, adding an additional layer of rewards on top of cashback.

What If A Card Transaction Is Refunded Or Reversed?
If a card transaction that earned cashback is later refunded or reversed, the cashback can be clawed back.
- KAST typically removes clawbacks from your Rewards Balance first.
- If your Rewards Balance does not have enough funds (for example, you already redeemed and spent the cashback), the remaining amount may be deducted from your USD virtual account balance.
Why Can’t I Redeem My Cashback?
Common reasons include:
- You are in a region where redemption is not currently available.
- Your cashback is still Locked (for example, a timelock applies).
- Your account is temporarily restricted due to compliance checks.

How do I redeem my cashback?

Do I earn KAST Points as well as cashback?
It depends on your membership tier. Premium members earn 1% KAST Points on all eligible card spend, in addition to 2% USD cashback. Private members earn 2% KAST Points, in addition to 3% USD cashback. Standard members do not earn KAST Points.
Do I need to do anything to start earning cashback?
No — cashback is earned automatically as long as you have an eligible membership tier and are using your KAST card for eligible purchases. You only need to take action when you're ready to redeem.
Does my cashback expire?
No. Your cashback does not expire and can be redeemed at any time once it's available.
Can I withdraw cashback to an external wallet or bank account?
No. Cashback can only be used inside KAST — once redeemed, it's applied to your card spending account and used toward future purchases.
What happens if I downgrade my membership tier?
You keep any cashback you've already earned. Going forward, new purchases will earn at the cashback rate of your new tier.
Why did my card spending account balance drop after a refund?
If you redeemed cashback from a transaction that was later refunded, that cashback may be clawed back. KAST will first deduct the amount from your Rewards Balance. If there aren't enough funds there, the remainder will be taken from your USD virtual account.
Is cashback earned on all types of card transactions?
Cashback is earned on eligible card authorizations. Certain transaction types, such as ATM withdrawals, may not qualify. Eligible transactions are reflected in your Rewards balance automatically. Refer to the Rewards Program Terms and Conditions for the full list.
