This article explains the current availability of company transaction limits in KAST Business and how card spending controls work at launch.
What Are Company Transaction Limits in KAST Business?
Company transaction limits are company-level spend controls designed to cap how much any individual card can spend across a KAST Business account.
When available, company transaction limits will apply to:
- Company Cards
- Employee Cards
What Company Limits Are Available at Launch?
Company-level card limits are not available at public launch.
At launch:
- Each card can have an optional daily limit
- Monthly card limits are not available
- All-time card limits are not available
- Company-level card limits are not available
Who Can Manage Card Limits?
Owners and Admins can manage available card limits for KAST Business cards.
If you cannot see limit settings:
- Confirm you are viewing the Business profile, not Personal
- Confirm your role is Owner or Admin
- Confirm the limit type is currently available in the app
How Do Company Limits Work With Card Limits?
Company-level limits are designed to work as a maximum ceiling across the business. When company-level limits become available, you will still be able to set lower per-card limits for individual cards when you want stricter controls for specific team members or cards.
How Effective Limits Are Calculated
| Scenario | Result |
|---|---|
| Card has no per-card limit | Card follows the company limit, if one is available |
| Card limit is lower than company limit | Lower per-card limit applies |
| Card limit is higher than company limit | Company limit overrides it |
At launch, company-level limits are not available, so card spending is controlled through available per-card limits and KAST platform maximums.
How Do I Set Available Card Limits in KAST Business?
Company-level limits cannot be set at public launch. To control card spending at launch, Owners and Admins can set available per-card daily limits for individual Company Cards or Employee Cards.
|
1. Open the KAST Business Login Page |
|
4. Set or edit the available daily limit. Click Save |
|
5. Enter a verification code sent to your company's email and from the Google Authenticator app. |
Once saved, available card limit changes apply immediately across eligible cards.
What Happens If I Lower a Company Limit?
Company-level limits are not available at public launch.
When company-level limits become available, lowering a company limit below an existing per-card limit should reduce the effective spend cap immediately. The card’s higher per-card limit may still appear in settings, but it will no longer be effective while the company limit remains lower.
What Happens If I Don’t Set Company Limits?
At launch, company-level limits are not available. Cards are still subject to:
- KAST platform maximums
- Any available per-card daily limit set by an Owner or Admin
