Reserve Reward Rates and Membership Comparison

  • Updated

Important: Your Reserve Reward rate depends on your KAST membership tier. Higher membership tiers may qualify for higher promotional reward rates and larger reward caps, subject to the current program terms.

How Reserve Reward Rates Work

Reserve Rewards are promotional cashback rewards you can earn by keeping eligible USD in your KAST Reserve Account.

Your reward rate depends on:

  • Your KAST membership tier
  • Your eligible Reserve balance
  • Any applicable reward caps
  • The current program terms

Reserve Rewards are not interest, APY, yield, or an investment return. They are funded by KAST as a promotional benefit and may change, pause, or end according to the Terms.

Current Reserve Reward Rates

During the boosted introductory period, eligible members can receive the following annual Reserve Reward rates.

Membership Tier Annual Membership Fee Reserve Reward Rate Reward Cap
Standard $0 6% No individual cap currently stated
Premium $1,000/year Up to 9% Up to $50,000
Private $10,000/year Up to 12% Up to $200,000

Boosted introductory rate. Variable, set at KAST's discretion. Ends 31 December 2026 or when total Reserve deposits reach $100M, whichever comes first. Then reverts to the standard rate. T&Cs apply.

For Premium and Private members, any eligible Reserve balance above the reward cap earns the Standard Reserve Reward rate under the current program terms.

The boosted introductory rates are available until 31 December 2026 or until total Reserve deposits reach $100 million, whichever comes first. Standard reward rates apply after the promotional period ends.

Membership Comparison

Standard

Standard membership gives you access to Reserve Rewards with no annual membership fee.

Eligible Reserve balances currently earn a 6% promotional reward rate.

Premium

Premium membership increases your Reserve Reward rate to up to 9% on eligible Reserve balances up to $50,000. Any eligible balance above the reward cap earns the Standard Reserve Reward rate, which is 6%.

Private

Private membership offers the highest promotional Reserve Reward rate of up to 12% on eligible Reserve balances up to $200,000.

Any eligible balance above the reward cap earns the Standard Reserve Reward rate, which is 6%.

Understanding Reward Caps

Reward caps determine how much of your eligible Reserve balance earns your membership tier's promotional reward rate.

For example, if you're a Premium member with $80,000 in Reserve:

  • The first $50,000 earns 9%
  • The remaining $30,000 earns the Standard Reserve Reward rate

Your total reward is calculated by combining the rewards earned across both balance portions.

Note: The higher promotional reward rate applies only to the eligible balance within your membership tier's reward cap.

Membership Fee Comparison

The table below shows the approximate Reserve balance needed for the additional promotional reward rate to offset the annual membership fee. These are simplified examples and do not guarantee future rewards.

Membership Additional Reward Rate vs Standard Annual Fee Approximate Break-even Reserve Balance
Premium +3% $1,000/year About $33,334
Private +6% $10,000/year About $166,667

These estimates compare only Reserve Rewards with the annual membership fee. They do not include any additional membership benefits.

Example Annual Reward Comparison

The examples below illustrate how the current promotional reward rates compare at different eligible Reserve balances.

Eligible Reserve Balance Standard (6%) Premium (9%) Private (12%)
$10,000 $600 $900 $1,200
$25,000 $1,500 $2,250 $3,000
$50,000 $3,000 $4,500 $6,000
$100,000 $6,000 $7,500* $12,000
$200,000 $12,000 $13,500* $24,000
  • For Premium membership, the 9% promotional reward rate applies only to the first $50,000 of eligible Reserve balance. The remaining eligible balance earns the Standard Reserve Reward rate under the current program terms.

Note: These examples are for illustration only. Actual Reserve Rewards depend on your eligible Reserve balance, membership tier, reward caps, balance changes during the day, and the current program terms.
